Itinerary
One of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and one of the holiest sites in India. Walk the narrow lanes lined with flower and offering shops to the golden-domed shrine, where priests perform continuous rituals at the sacred Shivlinga.
Dedicated to Kal Bhairav, the fierce form of Shiva and protector of Varanasi. Devotees believe no one can stay in the city without his permission. See the silver-masked idol and vibrant rituals, especially lively on Sundays.
One of India's sacred Shakti Peethas, dedicated to Goddess Vishalakshi, "the one with wide eyes," a form of Parvati. Inside, the sanctum glows with oil lamps, incense and chanting, and pilgrims offer red sarees, bangles and sweets.
A rare shrine to Goddess Varahi, one of the Matrikas (mother goddesses), worshipped for courage and protection. Expect traditional architecture, chanted mantras, ringing bells, and offerings of coconuts and red cloth.
The evening fire ceremony on Varanasi's most famous ghat. Priests perform the ritual with oil lamps, incense, conch shells, and chants to Mother Ganga. Watch from the ghat steps or a boat, and float a diya on the river as a personal prayer.

FAQ
Modest clothing is required at all temples: keep shoulders and knees covered. Wear shoes that are easy to slip on and off, since you'll remove them at each temple. A light scarf or shawl is handy.
No. Admission tickets and any special darshan fees are not included in the tour price. Your guide can help you buy them on the day.

Restrictions apply. Phones, cameras, bags and electronics are not allowed inside Kashi Vishwanath Temple and must be left in lockers outside. Other temples vary, and photography of the Ganga Aarti is welcome. Your guide will advise at each stop.
Cancel up to 24 hours before the tour starts (Varanasi local time) for a full refund, free of charge.
October to March brings pleasant weather and major festivals like Dev Deepawali. Summers (April–June) are very hot, and during the monsoon (July–September) the Ganga can rise and the Aarti may move to higher steps. The tour runs year-round.
